Letter dated 1866 from Ralph Smith discusses contract dated 1639 in which Edward Jones agrees to serve William Leete for three years on their arrival in New England in return for freight and passage from England; letters dated 1887 from A. Davis give his interpretation of the "Colony of Nox" as being a mistranscription of the "Colony of New Haven" in the will of William Penoyer dated 1670.
